Whitney Brown | Director of operations
A native of Elon, NC, Whitney began her career in 2007 as a Sales Coordinator for a 6,200-acre master planned community in Blowing Rock, NC. Over the next seven years at the community, her responsibilities widened and she continued to grow her real estate development career in both sales and club operations roles. In 2016 her work took her to Denver, Colorado where she managed operations as a Department Head for Lifetime Fitness.
Her love for both real estate community development and the South brought her to the Lowcountry in 2017 where she continues her career for Reed Group as Director of Operations.
Stacey Garbett | Executive Assistant
Stacey Garbett handles all aspects of administrative responsibilities along with scheduling and coordinating for The Reed Group. She earned her degree from the University of South Carolina and is a Bluffton native with a strong love for the Lowcountry. Having a long-standing history with the Reed family, Stacey has seen the company’s continued achievements and growth year after year.
Chris Lewis | onsite project manager
Chris Lewis is responsible for the successful delivery of new projects from beginning to completion throughout the construction process. Chris accomplishes this through the use of construction schedules, contract documents, land development budgets, environmental studies, geotechnical reports, engineering and architectural construction plans and permit compliance reports. He earned his degree from Eastern Kentucky University and has previously worked with prestigious organizations such as Pinehurst Resort and Palmetto Bluff.
Ali Seabaugh | director of development
Ali Seabaugh serves as the communication liaison for all development operations and ensures projects remain on task, on schedule, and within budget. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Clemson University in 2009, where she earned a degree in Industrial Engineering. Prior to joining our development team, Ali was the Guest Relations Coordinator for our Hampton Lake Community. With an unmatched drive and analytical personality, she is energized by seeing the efficiency and effectiveness at work of both people and processes alike. Ali’s ultimate goal is celebrating a “team win” and watching the organization grow and succeed in every aspect.
Galen Knighten | development manager
Having spent most of his life in Virginia, this is where he began his career in Civil Engineering with a small local firm. In 2004, Galen moved to the Lowcountry to work for Thomas & Hutton Engineering in a role that focused on engineering and design for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. After seven years with Thomas & Hutton, he accepted a position with the Town of Hilton Head Island, where he contributed to engineering and design as well as project management of municipal capital improvement projects. Galen spent four years with the Town of Hilton Head and then was brought on board with eighteen years of engineering and design experience as well as six years of construction project management, to our team at The Reed Group in 2015. As Development Manager for our team, Galen oversees and ensures the completion and coordination of design and engineering efforts throughout the construction process.
Pam Pitoniak | director of finance
Pam Pitoniak oversees all aspects of finance and accounting or development and sales operations to ensure the company's departments are on track and within budget on a regular basis. She graduated from Miami University in Ohio with a degree in Accounting and moved to Hilton Head after graduation. Pam fell in love with the Lowcountry at a young age and has never had the desire to live anywhere else. She originally came on board with The Reed Group in 2001, handling Accounts Payable for the Berkeley Hall project and has since acquired many additional responsibilities and grown with the company over the years. Pam has seen Mr. Reed reinvent the company multiple times and feels that changing and staying "ahead of the game" is the mainstay of the development industry, which has always been a strongpoint in the Reed family.
Katie Murphy | Marketing Director
Katie Murphy is responsible for all marketing and public relations efforts, ensuring the integrity and brand awareness of The Reed Group and its communities. She graduated from Florida State University in 2013 with a degree in Marketing. Upon graduation, Katie began her career in Inside Sales with The PGA TOUR in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Her continued love for the Lowcountry brought her to the area in 2015 where she worked in Property Management on Hilton Head Island, prior to joining The Reed Group.
Kati Barnes | Sales Operations Coordinator
Kati Barnes serves as the communication liaison for all sales operations. As a native of Baltimore, Maryland, she moved to the Lowcountry to attend The University of South Carolina, earning her degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management. Upon completing her degree in 2013, Kati began her career as an Event Producer in Beaufort, South Carolina, coordinating events for high-end clients like Porsche and Gulfstream. Several years later, she began working in Property Management on Hilton Head Island. Kati's combined passion for real estate and sales brought her to The Reed Group where she continues her career as Sales Operations Coordinator.
